The May 2018 Denver Real Estate Statistics are out and show a big boost in the number of listings and the number of sold homes, which is exactly what we expect to see this time of year. However, what is most surprising about these May 2018 Denver Real Estate Statistics is that the median sale price of $415,000 for all residential properties in the greater five county area did not rise one bit over what we saw in April. What could this mean? Well, demand is still high, in fact we saw a drop in the average days that a listing stays active on the market so buyers are still snatching up properties as fast as they can. Digging deeper into the May 2018 Denver Real Estate Statistics, the median list price also remained the same through April and May at $424,900 and was slightly higher in March at $425,000. The median sales price of $415k for two months is in direct correlation to the median list price. Interest rates continue their slow climb, ever closer to an average 30 year fixed rate of 5%.
